Hello. This is BawAppie, the developer of A-Bypass.
Today, I would like to announce an important decision regarding the future of A-Bypass.
Background
When A-Bypass was first released, jailbreaking inevitably came with jailbreak detection. At that time, there were few usable jailbreak bypass tweaks, and even those that existed were often outdated with poor compatibility.
However, the situation has changed significantly now. Due to Apple's enhanced security measures, jailbreaking has become nearly impossible on the latest iOS versions. There are no exploitable vulnerabilities for iOS 17 and 18, and even on iOS 16, most users are only using TrollStore.
Moreover, the latest jailbreak tools have adopted a Rootless architecture that doesn't directly modify system files, making it difficult for apps installed from the App Store to detect jailbreaks. Now, most apps can be run and used without A-Bypass.
Decision to Discontinue Development
As the developer of A-Bypass, considering these changes, I have concluded that there is significantly less need to continue developing A-Bypass.
It's time to acknowledge the reality that A-Bypass's role is gradually diminishing due to changes in the jailbreak environment and Apple's strengthened security.
A Message to Our Users
I sincerely thank all of you who have used and supported A-Bypass. Thanks to your feedback and support, A-Bypass has been able to help many users.
Although development is being discontinued, I am proud of the contributions that I and A-Bypass have made to the jailbreak community.
Future Plans
While A-Bypass development will be discontinued, I plan to soon transition A-Bypass to open source, allowing other interested developers to continue the project.
I will maintain my interest in the jailbreak and iOS security fields, and if new project or research opportunities arise, I will share them with the jailbreak community.
Once again, thank you for your support all this time. While the end of A-Bypass is regrettable, I believe this is a sign of progress in the jailbreak community. I will continue to remain a dedicated member of the jailbreak community.
Thank you.
